On December 6, Luz sent a video of the guest  speaker during her talk on October 13, 2023. I was so inspired listening to Sr. Angela De Fatima Coelho, that I  watched it three times. Then, I decided to go to San Fernando and join the Convention.

Fr. Marco Chiesa, from the  Province of Genoa, is the  Postulator General. Fr.  Marco was born in 1976 in  Crema (Italy). He made his  first vows in 1996 and was  ordained a priest in 2002.  He obtained a degree in Liturgy from the Pontifical Institute of St Anselm. Fr. Chiesa,  postulator for the canonization of Fatima's Sister Lucia  says: The canonization process has been complex due to collecting factual documents on  Sister Lucia's 97 years of life and navigating her close relationships with the Vatican  and Pope John Paul II during the reveal of the third secret  of Fatima.

A person like Lucia was always in the spotlight—even though she was in the monastery, waves of letters were  coming in of requests for her. Someone so important all  over the world, known all over the world, maintains that  humility, that simplicity of recognizing that Christ is important. Fr. Chiesa believes Sister Lucia will be canonized a saint as  her message of perseverance continues to spread throughout the Church and the world.

The above letter was changed as we also prepared a copy for Fr. Marco Chisea, OCD.

Sister Angela Coelho, postulator for the canonization of saints Francisco and Jacinta Marto and vice-postulator for the beatification cause of Sister Lucia, speaks at the National Fatima Convention on the centenary of the Five Saturdays Devotion in Quezon City, Dec. 10. CBCP

A visiting Portuguese sister who played a key role in the canonization of two Fatima children shared words of hope for young people grappling with doubts about their faith and lives. Sister Angela Coelho, who was the postulator for the canonization of  Francisco and Jacinta Marto, acknowledged the struggles many young  people face today, expressing that they often feel lost and unsure of  what lies ahead.

To those feeling adrift, Sr. Coelho offered a message of hope: “Turn to the Blessed Mother.” Recalling the message of Our Lady of Fatima, Sister Coelho described  the Blessed Mother’s heart as a “refuge” — a safe place in times of difficulty.

“A refuge is a safe place, is a shelter where we go when everything seems lost,” Sr. Coelho said. She explained that the Blessed Mother not  only provides comfort but also guides believers to God and helps them find meaning in life. “Many young people are struggling with the meaning of their lives, which leads to sadness and despair,” Sr. Coelho said.  “Our Lady is the one who can help us rediscover that meaning and, in  turn, bring true happiness.”

Sister Coelho is also the vice-postulator for the beatification cause of Sister Lucia, the third of the Fatima visionaries, and the superior general of
the Portuguese congregation Aliança de Santa Maria. Speaking on Tuesday before more than 1,300 participants at the National  Fatima Convention on the Centenary of the Five Saturdays Devotion in Quezon City, she emphasized that the lessons learned from the Fatima children remain relevant today. “One of the key lessons,” she said, “is to  put God at the center of your life.” While many believers feel God’s presence, she noted, it is often on the periphery rather than in the center. According to her, the Fatima children learned to place God at the core of  their lives. This centrality, she explained, is key to shaping one’s priorities and decisions.

She added that much of human suffering stems from placing God on the  periphery and allowing secondary concerns to take precedence. “When we mix everything up, we lose energy, we feel depressed and sad,” she said. The convention, organized by the World Apostolate of Fatima (WAF)  Philippines, also marked the launching of the Pilgrim Image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Pontevedra. The image will travel to dioceses across the country, promoting the message of Fatima and the Five First Saturdays Devotion from February to December 2025. WAF Philippines national spiritual director Bishop Guillermo Afable encouraged the devotees to help spread the devotion in their respective  parishes, ecclesial communities, and other sectors of society.

“In the upcoming Jubilee Year of Hope 2025, while welcoming in our dioceses the visit of the Pilgrim Image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of  Pontevedra, I enjoin everyone to deepen our devotion to our Mother  Mary, source of our joy and hope,” he said.

Having heard the talk of Sr. Angela Mary thon talk October 3, 2023 at home before going to Manila, more or less I already know that her talk will be very inspiring. Thus, we were very happy to be at the National Fatima Convention on the centenary of the Five Saturdays Devotion in Quezon City, Dec. 10.

We twins brought two copies of our document _ A Glimpse of Sr. Lucia’s Great Vision of the Holy Trinity. When we went over our copies, we were dismayed because there were missing pages. Upon scrutiny, we found that the missing pages were placed in succeeding pages. I went to buy double tape and the problem was solved.

We twins were ready to give the documents. During the break, we went to give her the document but was not able to catch her for she was already near the door. The next try was when Luz entered the door but was prevented by the convention committee head for he claims, Sr. Angela needs to rest. Allowed to wait at the seat outside the door so we can see Sr. Angela when she goes out, we failed again. She walked fast or the mass was about to start.

Finally, on our third attempt, Luz was able to give the documents. How did it happen. We saw Sr. Angela walking to receive Holy Communion. When she returned to her seat, the priests seated on the first five rows stood to receive Holy Communion, thus the seats were vacant. I motioned Luz to hurry up to give the documents. As seen in the pictures, Sr. Angela was receptive in listening to Luz. Luz later told me that she opened the bag and showed her there are two copies for her and Fr. Marco Chisea, the postulator.
